The NBA legend addressed the grand jury’s decision not to
prosecute Officer Darren Wilson on Philadelphia’s 97.5 radio station last week.
Barkley, who has long been outspoken both on and off the
court, suggested that the media should do more to cover the “epidemic” of
black-on-black crime, and wondered why protesters and looters want to destroy
the city of Ferguson.
“There is no excuse for those people to be out there burning
down people’s businesses, burning up police cars,” Barkley said. “That serves
no purpose whatsoever.”
