Something doesn't add up with the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.  Other notable and reliable polls show Donald Trump with a sizable lead over all other Republican candidates, yet NBC/WSJ shows him losing to Ted Cruz?

Jeb Bush is coming under scrutinyfire again from social conservatives for his involvement of  investing taxpayer money in a company with ties to pornography while Governor of Florida.

The former Florida governor invested $1.3 million from the

state’s pension fund into Movie Gallery, a film rental company that offers X-rated films in addition to comedies and action movies, according to a report in the International Business Times

The report examined thousands of emails from during his tenure that show a strained relationship between Bush and the “religious right."

One voter wrote Bush was supporting a company that was “enslaving men and women to its addiction."

American Family Association founder Donald Wildmon, in particular, took offense to Bush’s ties to pornography. He wrote a mass email rallying social conservatives against Bush.

“Movie Gallery shades hundreds of its stores with ‘back rooms,’ filled with thousands of videos and magazines exhibiting morbid depictions of sex,” Wildmon reportedly said in the email. “By investing in Movie Gallery stock, the state of Florida is giving its stamp of approval on hard-core porn. Tell the Florida Board of Administration to get out of the porn business by divesting itself of Movie Gallery stock.”

Initially, Bush did not back down amid pressure, allegedly maintaining that he had to make the most profitable investment choice for taxpayers.

But in the state sold the shares in 2006 after Movie Gallery’s stock performance began to slip.

The revelations came from 280,000 emails released from Bush's time as governor and have now come back to the forefront.

Many are asking wondering what the fascination with Jeb Bush is.   Jeb has struggled in the polls.  He is also considered the heart of the Republican establishment.  

Jeb’s recent debate performances makes one want to believe that even he doesn’t want the position.

Michigan Republican Leadership though stands behind Jeb Bush as additional legislators jump on to this sinking ship.

Just this week Congressman Mike Bishop endorsed Jeb Bush for the Republican presidential nomination.

Mike Bishop,  who is a a first-term Congressman resides in Rochester joins first time Congressman  Dave Trott who is from Birmingham, in endorsing Jeb Bush. Both of these Congressman represent the majority of Oakland County.

Mike Bishop may have a tough race ahead as former Hollywood socialite and actress Melissa Gilbert (D) of Howell Michigan has announced her run for Michigan's 8th Congressional District.  

Melissa Gilbert though has had a bumpy start as it was discovered she owes over $400,000 in back taxes and her husband has been donating to her campaign rather than paying off her tax debt. 

One has to wonder though, if an establishment endorsement will have an effect on Bishop's re-election race.

Joining Bishop and Trott in their support for Jeb Bush is Congressman Fred Upton.

The remaining Republican Congressmen have either endorsed other candidates or have yet to endorse a candidate.

Congressman John Moolenaar who resides in Midland has endorsed U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida in September.

Congresswoman and rumored Gubernatorial candidate Candice Miller,  who resides in Harrison Township has endorsed former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiornia during  mid-September Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference .

Congressman Justin Amash, who is from Cascade Township,  was the first to endorse when he announced in May of this year that he was endorsing libertarian-leaning U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky. 

Congressman  Dan Benishek of Crystal Falls,  Tim Walberg of Tipton and Bill Huizenga of Zeeland have yet to endorse a presidential candidate. 

Jeb Bush Desperate - Sends 18 Year Old Female Plant To Try To Derail Donald Trump

How pathetic and desperate is Jeb Bush?  Well as we found out yesterday, he is pathetic and desperate enough to send one of his staffers into an event where Donald Trump was speaking and tried to derail him.  

Lauren Batchelder, 18 years old,  the woman who made media waves with her televised harsh questioning of Donald Trump during a Jon Huntsman “No Labels” campaign event in New Hampshire, was just outed as a paid political operative of the Republican Party and a campaign staffer for White House hopeful Jeb Bush. 

Batchelder quizzed Trump at his campaign stop on his views of women, demanding he give an example of how exactly he respects the female gender.

Batchelder stood with her hands on her hips and told Trump, “I don’t think you’re a friend to women.”

She then asked, “If you become president, will a woman make the same as a man, and do I get to choose what I do with my body?”

This was a funny question for Batchelder to ask especially

since she has worked for many pro-life candidates including Kelley Ayotte.

"Within minutes of her scripted performance at the event," the news site wrote, "the producers of CNN were quickly editing soundbites and framing a narrative. That story was pushed into the media stream within hours. CNN's Jeanne Moos was the delivery vehicle for the hit piece."

There are eight candidates remaining in the race specifically

to assist Jeb Bush and help him win the nomination.  They are:

This past weekend the Republican Party held its bi-annual Republican Leadership conference on Mackinac Island, Michigan. 

Multiple Republican presidential candidates including Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, John Kasich, and Jeb Bush were at the conference.

Also wondering the island were Bernie Sanders supporters wearing

Republican's for Bernie Sanders t-shirts.  Precinct Delegate, Matt Maddock of Waterford MI, took a picture of one these supporters before they pulled their prank on Jeb Bush.

Where this gets good as the Bernie supporters were wearing suit coats and jackets when the ran into Jeb Bush.

They stopped Jeb and ask if they could get a picture.  Jeb not seeing their covered shirts, obliged. 

As they aligned for the camera, Jeb was focused on the camera and not the Bernie supporters.  That's when they took off their coats and snapped this now infamous picture.

Jeb ended up feeling the Bern up on Mackinac Island.

Colorado will not pick a Republican candidate for president in its 2016 caucus after party leaders approved a little-noticed shift that is likely to diminish the swing state's clout in the most open nomination contest in the modern era.

The GOP executive committee voted Friday to cancel the traditional presidential preference poll at the caucus after the national party changed its rules to require a state's delegates to support the candidate that wins.

 "We just didn't think in this meeting anyway, they should be bound to somebody when there could possibly could be a large number of candidates," said Colorado Republican party chair Steve House.

"I think if there were only a few candidates it would be a different story." he said.

The move makes Colorado the only state so far to forfeit a role in the early nomination process, according to experts, but other states are still considering what to do.

"It takes Colorado completely off the map" in the nomination process, said Ryan Call, a former state GOP chairman.

The Colorado system often favors non-establishment candidates who attract a dedicated following among activists — as evidenced by Rick Santorum's caucus victory in 2012. So the party's move may hurt GOP contenders such as Donald Trump, Ben Carson or Rand Paul, who would have received a boost if they won the state. This move favors the Establishment candidates such as Jeb Bush who is not doing well in the polls.

Colorado will likely remain a swing state - but with no need to campaign so early in the race, our state could get less attention early on.

contenders he'd like to see come 2016.  These were the GOP hopefuls attending the meeting: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

The rest of the presidential candidates were not invited because they did not fit Ericson's personal criteria.

Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, was not invited to attend the meeting. In June, RedState said Carson was "unfit to be president" due to his ties to a controversial supplement company.

campaign, Jeb Bush was director of a philanthropy that gave tens of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and financed its advocacy of "unrestricted access to abortion" around the world? The charity also approved money to global abortion providers while he sat on its board.

In 2010, Jeb was named one of the founding directors of the Bloomberg Family Foundation, established as a tax-exempt foundation to advance the vision of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. He resigned from the board at the end of 2014 to prepare his presidential campaign.

In March of 2014, the Bloomberg Philanthropies announced a $50 million undertaking to expand "reproductive health," including lobbying foreign nations to loosen restrictions on abortion.

This could very well explain why the the Senate headed by Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republican Speaker Of The House John Boehner have not done a thing to defund Planned Parenthood. 

Donald Trump Takes Biggest Lead Yet At 31% In New Poll

BOSTON /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — One week out from

the first GOP debate, Donald Trump leads the Republican field with 31% of the vote, followed by Gov. Jeb Bush at 15% and Gov. Scott Walker in third at 13%. The survey was conducted July 26 to July 28, with 481 likely GOP voters at a 4.4% margin of error.

Forty percent (40%) of respondents viewed Trump’s comments regarding Senator John McCain’s War record as unimportant to their vote. Interestingly, 11% percent said they were more likely to vote for Trump because of his commentary on McCain. 

 Rounding out the top 10 Republicans in this poll were Sen. Ted Cruz at 8%, Gov. Mike Huckabee at 6%, followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 5%, Sen. Rand Paul at 4% and Sen. Marco Rubio at 4%. Carly Fiorina was in 9th place at 3% and Gov. John Kasich was tied with Gov. Chris Christie with 2% of the vote. All other candidates received under 1% of the vote; 7% of Republican Primary voters were undecided.

Establishment Republicans Want Bush Walker and Rubio To Boycott Debate Since Trump Invited

The first GOP presidential debate is about two weeks away,

candidates are preparing responses for tough questions about their policy proposals as well as attacks from other candidates up on stage with them.  Over the past month, Donald Trump has practically provided certain candidates with advice on what they need to do to win the debate.  Donald Trump has shown the intellect, competency, and overall potential to serve as president of several fellow GOP candidates.   The only other candidate that has been on the same intellect level has been Ted Cruz

Now Establishment Republicans are  requesting that Trump tone it down a few notches or exit the race. Their most recent attempt to get Trump to drop out may have gone too far, however. According to a report by The New York Times, large donors and officials at the Republican Governors Association have proposed for leading candidates such as Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, and Marco Rubio to boycott any debates that Trump is permitted to attend.

Per the report, "the thinking, according to a Republican involved in the conversations, was that the lesser-funded prospects who have been eclipsed by Mr. Trump would follow suit, and the TV networks airing the debates would be forced to bar Mr. Trump in order to have a full complement of candidates."

Many believe that having Trump will actually force candidates to be on their toes with regard to policy, as Trump's willingness to say nearly whatever he wants whenever he wants would lead to a more polarized debate between the candidates.  This debate may also cause Trump to expose some of the candidate for who they really are, Democrats in Republican clothing.

Trump Leads Nevada Poll With Overwhelming Hispanic Support

Donald Trump Has Commanding Overall Lead of 27.7% in Nevada Poll with 31.4% Support by Hispanics

Presidential Polling Results for Nevada were conducted by Gravis Marketing.   The results show that GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump has a commanding lead of 27.7%, with recently announced Presidential Candidate Scott Walker in second with 15%. In third is Ben Carson with 7.8% with Jeb Bush a point behind at 6.8%.   Marco Rubio rounds out the top five with 5.4%. Undecided voters remain high at just over 20%

With polled Hispanics, Presidential Candidate Trump received 31.4%, higher than his overall performance of 27.7%. The only other Presidential Candidate to receive double digit support by Hispanics is Scott Walker with 11.4%.

The Truth On Ted Cruz's Joke On Joe Biden

HOWELL, MI: Last night I attended the 55th annual, Livingston County Republican Party Lincoln Dinner, Ted Cruz was the featured speaker.

Cruz spoke for about 50 minutes and made compelling arguments to the audience as to why he should be the next President of the United States.

He brought up the fact that his critics say he cannot win, yet he stated he has set a record for the most money raised on a campaign opening day of over $1 million.  That was his goal for the first week.    He ended up raising over $4 million that week!   This was the best start to any Presidential campaign in the history of Presidential campaigns. He raised more than what Mitt Romney raised and twice as much as what John McCain raised during the same time. Of the donations that poured in,   Cruz went on to say that 95% of them came from average people that contributed less than $100.    Cruz said this shows his message is strong and that he has support from the grassroots not big corporations.

Cruz did not speak negatively of any Republican Presidential Candidate last night.  One reporter tried to trip him up before his speech by asking him about Jeb Bush.   Cruz called Jeb a fine American and a good man but reverted back to his own positives.

During his speech last night Cruz said that their will be a lot of candidates coming through Michigan and he believed Michigan would be a battle ground state.  He said a lot of them may say they stand for conservative principles and some have.    Cruz suggested to those in the audience to vett those Presidential Candidates that say they stand for Constitutional principles.  Some of the questions he recommend to those in attendance ask included:


Where were they when the national debt was being raised?

Where were they when it was time to defund Obamacare?

Where were they when they said they were against Common Core?

Where were they when ISIS rose up?

Where did they stand when Amnesty was being pushed down our throats?

Where were they for family values?

Cruz was a dynamic down to earth candidate whose speech injected humor and had the audience laughing.

The leftist media though saw how Cruz was captivating the audience last night and how his truths could hurt a candidate more to their liking.  Their hope is if they can not get their faltering Hillary Clinton in as President, they want to make sure that in their worse case scenario  a moderate left leaning Republican is then elected.

So the media looked at his entire speech and they believed they saw one possible weak area to exploit and it was a joke about Joe Biden, whose son Beau died last Saturday.  Like all other presenters such as speakers in the business world or comedians, they have a material that they use that they know engages the audience based on past experience.  So just like those other presenters that use scripted jokes, so did Cruz.

Cruz made a joke about Joe Biden and Joe Biden alone, he never mentioned Beau Biden's name.  He said it doesn't matter if you go to a Republican or Democrat, you just Joe Biden and nothing else and people will laugh.

 However, and I hate to give this guy more attention, Detroit News Reporter Chad Livengood showed his biased colors yesterday and decided to come up with a new narrative for the night

Watching the video above did the laughter seem faint?  As an attendee last night I can assure you the laughter was not faint.

The fact is Joe Biden is not respected by either party.  He is the current sitting Vice President and had mentioned before about aspirations of running for President.  It is rare when a sitting Vice President doesn't run after the current President is termed out.    His party has put their focus on Hillary Clinton over good old Joe.    This was the joke and point Cruz made.  

As you saw from the video there was no disrespecting of Beau Biden's son Joe, but the media would like to make you think otherwise.

At the end of the speech, Detroit News Reporter Chad Livingood tried to corner Cruz and asked if that joke appropriate under Joe Biden's current dealings with the death of his son.  Knowing this was a trap set forth with a Reporter with an agenda, he wisely stepped away.  This did not sit well with the Livingood who decided to tweet the experience with video to push through his agenda. 

Push For Closed Republican Primary: Who is behind it and is there an ulterior motive?

Last night I made the following post on Facebook "Open or closed primary? Does it really make a difference? Pick your poison. With an open primary yes could get Establishment Republican's and/or moderate Republicans that despise Conservatives, to work with Democrats to give us a Moderate or RINO (Republican in name only) candidate. With a caucus or convention what is to say that again that Establishment Republicans /Moderate Republicans fill the delegate slates shutting out conservative Republicans and in turn pick another moderate or RINO candidate? By going the convention route you do shut out the general public and many donors. Will they be willing to donate, if you shut them out of the process?"
There seems to be a concern that with an open primary that an establishment candidate could get the nod in Michigan due to Democratic crossover vote.  Establishment Republican's in the past have courted Democrats to help them block conservatives from winning an election, such as the failed attempt last year in the 107th State Representative race between Chatfield and Foster

Now there is a push to close Michigan's Republican Presidential Primary, to prevent cross over vote.  But who is

behind this push?  Many are saying John Yob of Strategic National, who is representing Rand Paul for President.   

Rand Paul is a favorite amongst many Libertarians and their Group Campaign 4 Liberty, which also includes many Republican Conservatives.    While Libertarians, Conservatives and Republican's share the same fiscal conservative values, Libertarians are considered social liberals and many believe in deregulation of illegal drugs, and

non-traditional marriage.

The push being put onto Conservatives is that they must have a closed primary to keep out the RINOs (Republican In Name Only) that would want to put a moderate Republican Candidate up, such as a Jeb Bush, by inviting crossover Democrat votes.

But having a closed primary doesn't prevent this either.  If the Republicans go the convention route and have delegates choose the next candidate, who is to say that the slates will not be fixed?  If the Establishment takes control of the voting slates, couldn't a Jeb Bush still be elected?  

In the current push it is rumored that John Yob, and his firm Strategic National, believe that they could control the Slate of Delegates many of whom are borderline Libertarian to Libertarian to nominate Rand Paul.  

Non-Libertarian conservatives are split between Rand Paul, Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.  The closed primary convention will surely kill Ben Carson's and Ted Cruz's chances here in Michigan. 

So which direction should the Michigan Republican party choose?  An open primary or closed?

Jeb Bush Hires Openly Gay, Christian and Conservative Bashing Communications Director For Presidential Run

And now Tim Miller, the openly gay executive director of America Rising PAC, has been hired has the Bush campaign’s communications director.

Bush has good company, though, when it comes to letting the fox into the hen house on marriage politics. Miller previously served as spokesman at the Republican National Committee and for the presidential campaigns of John Huntsman and John McCain.

Miller, 33, is not shy about promoting his gay lifestyle on social media, and “loves to mock conservatives” who defend marriage being between one man and one woman, according to a website that promotes homosexuality.

Straight out of the Republican Party platform, right? Just like Bush’s support for amnesty and common core.

Is Jeb doing what ever it takes to be elected even though he is unelectable? Just last month Jeb Bush  said he still thinks the issue should be in the hands of voters.

The Miami Herald reported Jeb saying:

“It ought be a local decision. I mean, a state decision,” the former governor said Sunday in a brief interview. “The state decided. The people of the state decided. But it’s been overturned by the courts, I guess.”

The paper also provides some background on Bush's mixed record on LGBT rights over the years:

As governor, he was against same-sex marriage but wasn’t publicly enthusiastic about the successful 2008 campaign to rewrite the Florida Constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman. Bush, who left office in 2007, said the change wasn’t needed, since state law already restricted marriage to heterosexual couples. Two years ago, he suggested in a PBS interview that gay parents could be held up as role models, even as he said “traditional marriage is what should be sanctioned” by the government.

In the 2012 interview, Bush told Charlie Rose that “if people love their children with all their heart and soul and that’s what they do and that’s how they organize their life, that should be held up as an example to others, because we need it.” In a speech to a Republican group last year, Bush warned against being a party seen as against too many things, including being “anti-gay.”
