The Truth About Obamacare's Repeal The Left Doesn't Want You To Know

By: David Trott
MI 11th Congressional District Congressman (R)
Since coming to Congress, I have supported replacing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) with a market-based plan that reduces costs and provides better care for the American people.

That's why, yesterday, I voted in support of the American Health Care Act-legislation that replaces Obamacare with a patient-centered system, lowers costs for families, and protects Americans with pre-existing conditions.

While this bill is far from perfect and there is plenty that both sides are not satisfied with, I do believe it is a better approach than was taken by Obamacare.

Back in 2009, the American people were promised health premiums would decline by $2,500 per family, but the average premium has actually gone up and the average family's employer-sponsored health care plan now costs more than $18,000 a year. In Michigan, premiums for individuals are expected to climb nearly 17% in 2017. Last year alone, we saw deductibles increase an average of $492 across all plans on the Obamacare exchange.

What I have heard from many families and small businesses in Southeast Michigan is that this top-down, Washington-centered approach to health care has not worked. Citizens that I represent have told me concerns regarding increasing premiums, higher taxes, fewer choices, and less access to care.

After carefully reviewing the American Health Care Act and the amendments made to the bill, I believe this legislation makes several key improvements, such as:

  • Eliminates the individual and employer mandate penalties, which forced millions of workers, families, and job creators into expensive, inadequate Obamacare plans that they don't want and cannot afford.
  • Dismantles the Obamacare taxes that have hurt job creators, increased premium costs, and limited options for patients and health care providers.
  • Guarantees coverage to Americans with pre-existing conditions and bans health insurers from charging a patient with pre-existing conditions higher premiums as long as they maintain continuous coverage, or sign up for new coverage within 63 days of exiting a previous insurance plan.
  • Helps young adults access health insurance and stabilize the marketplace by allowing dependents to continue staying on their parents' plan until they are 26.
  • Modernizes and strengthens Medicaid so states can better serve  patients most in need.
  • Empowers individuals and families to spend their health care dollars the way they want and need by enhancing and expanding Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
  • Help Americans access affordable, quality health care by providing a monthly tax credit-between $2,000 and $14,000 a year-for low-and middle-income individuals and families who don't receive insurance through work or a government program.
Yesterday, I also supported the Public Health Service Act, legislation that requires Members of Congress to live under the American Health Act, ensuring there are no exemptions for Members or their staff.

Regrettably, there has been a lot of misinformation spread about this bill, especially regarding how the bill protects people with pre-existing conditions.  Here is the truth:
Under no circumstance can people be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Current law prohibiting pricing customers based on health status remains in place and can only be waived by a state if that state has chosen to take care of the people through other risk-sharing or reinsurance mechanisms. Even if a state asks for, and is granted a waiver, no person may be priced based on health status if they have maintained continuous health coverage.
On November 8th, citizens voted for President Trump and Congressional Republicans on the promise to replace the Affordable Care Act with real patient-centered reforms. The American people have already rendered a verdict on Obamacare and I am committed to fighting for the kind of reforms the citizens of this country expect to see.

We all knew that bringing change to Washington would not be easy - there are many special interests and partisan groups who will always fight to keep the status quo. Making the kind of tough decisions that are needed to turn our country around will require real leadership and teamwork.
Today's vote is the first step in a longer, three-phase legislative process that will move away from the big government mandates in the Affordable Care Act and instead allow people both the freedom and the ability to choose the quality health care they want.
You can learn more about the legislation and read the text of bill by clicking here.
I believe the American people send their lawmakers to Washington to tackle big challenges - and I am committed to doing just that.

Thank you for standing with me in this fight.

Patriot falls victim to Obamacare

A hard working patriot falls victim to the death panels of Obamacare.  This patriot's story is why President Trump is trying to repeal Obamacare.

Here is the story his friends wrote on a gofundme page they set up for him.  If you feel like contributing click here.  Any amount will do:

Michael Krausman is a fighter. He is also one of the kindest, most generous and hard-working men you will ever know. When he was just 3 yrs. old living in Chicago he was kidnapped, beaten and left for dead next to a dumpster. Soon after that, Michael and his brothers were placed in an orphanage for a couple of years then eventually taken in by foster families for the next 5 years where they were in good hands and living somewhat normal lives for the first time. While they were in foster care, Michaels mother was notified his father was killed in Viet-Nam and she fought to get them back and they moved to Michigan. Michael lived a very tough life without a father and a very young mother who was really a child herself. He was determined to be self-sufficient however, and refused to ever think of himself as a victim.

Michael worked very hard and became a successful Realtor. He saved enough money to purchase and remodel his own home. Last year, without warning, Michael’s world was turned upside down. He began to have balance issues, memory loss and seizures that turned into multiple seizures every day, and he found himself becoming increasingly confused and disoriented. He was forced to stop working, as he was unable to focus long enough to read a single sentence. As a real estate agent he does not have the option of unemployment or Workmen's Compensation to rely on.

Michael had purchased Obamacare a couple years earlier so he was insured, however, after several tests and 7 days in the hospital, Obamacare informed the hospital that they were no longer able to cover any further testing or treatment. Michael was in jeopardy of losing his house, and for the first time in his life was finding himself in a position he never thought he would be in. He sold his house and moved to a small condo with his dog, but his condition got worse and his medical bills continued to grow. He reluctantly signed up for Medicaid, as he was told they would cover more tests than Obamacare. After blowing through all of his savings, doctors still don't know the cause of Michael's seizures and horrible constant headaches. Last month it was suggested to him that he try a hyperbaric chamber treatment as an attempt to reverse some brain damage. At a minimum, health care professionals told him the treatments might be able to help alleviate his constant headaches. After 6 long months of brutal headaches, Michael was shocked to find he was finally able to experience some relief and is beginning to able to focus on things much better. The problem is, the $200.00 a day treatments aren't covered under Medicaid. Since Michael spent all of his savings on medical bills, he began maxing out his 3 credit cards to pay for the treatments.

Michael spends his days at home with his dog, never knowing when he’ll have his next seizure, worrying about how he's going to pay for his next hyperbaric treatment, or how he'll pay for a series of tests that he needs to diagnose and (hopefully) treat his condition. The doctors are not going to be able to properly diagnose or treat Michael if he can't afford to pay for tests that are rejected by Medicaid.

We are asking everyone who reads this to consider helping Michael by donating to this campaign. 100% of the money we collect will go to Michael to help pay for his hyperbaric chamber treatments and any tests that Medicaid won’t cover. Any additional money will go towards helping Michael to pay off the credit cards he's used to pay his medical bills. The stress he's feeling after working so hard his entire life isn't helping his condition.

Please help us make it so Michael doesn't have to worry about how he's going to pay off his credit cards and continue with his treatments. He would never ask for help, so we're doing it for him. You don't have to give a lot, every little bit will help.

Anyone who knows Michael will tell you he is one of the kindest and most generous people they have ever known. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. We’d like to return the kindness Michael has shown so many of the course of his life. He didn’t have a lot, but he was always the first person to offer to help someone in need. In addition to your contribution, Michael has strong faith and would very much appreciate your prayers. With God's help, he has proven that he is capable of overcoming obstacles many of us can never imagine.

Please help us to help Michael overcome the biggest challenge he’s ever had to face.
God bless,
Friends of Michael Krausman

Obama's Executive Order Is More Than Just About Guns, Now Doctors Have To Give Medical Records To FBI

Obama's executive order today is more than just gun control  It is about total
control  It is about forcing doctors to give out your medical information without your consent.

If a doctor feels that your are mentally ill they can report you and hand over your medical information to the FBI without your consent.  This is just the beginning of your medical records being released without your consent.

What if you and your doctor have a dispute?  Could the doctor in a vengeful state label you crazy for not following his orders?  Think this won't happen, I witnessed this first hand with my girlfriend as the doctor kept trying to force her to go back on chemo for her cancer, against her wishes.   She had a surgery scheduled for a tendon issue in 45 days and she couldn't get back on chemo till after that surgery.

A few weeks before her surgery, she became ill with an intestinal issue.  We took her to a well known hospital to the emergency center.  While in emergency they tried to get her to sign consent for chemo even though she was in emergency for an intestinal issue before they would help her.  They said her doctor required it.  She refused to sign the consent form to give her chemo and they refused to help her. She was left looking to cure herself, which on that issue she was able to.

This is all part of Obamacare being able to control you. Soon the government can tell you what to do once they have your records.

Now they can take you gun rights away, soon will they be telling you what you can eat and you you must live?  Keeping government healthcare costs down will be about keeping the population healthy.  This is what socialized medicine is all about control over you and Obama's gun control executive order is not only about taking away your guns but controlling you.

As a side note, if you are asked if you own a gun while at a doctor's office, never answer that question.

Another Obama Executive Order This Time With Insurance companies

The illegal jailing of Kim Davis for following the law and
ignoring an unlawful order from Bush appointed pro-homosexual Judge David Bunning was used as cover for the Obama administration to illegally plan regulation, which is imposing law (something the Executive Branch has not been given authority in the Constitution to do), to pay for mutilation surgeries for mentally ill men and women who think they are the opposite gender.

The Daily Caller reports:

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a planned new regulation Thursday that will require health insurers participating in Obamacare to cover more health procedures sought by the transgendered.

The new rule applies to every health insurer offering plans through Healthcare.gov or any of the state-run Obamacare insurance exchanges. It declares that insurers are prohibited from engaging in discrimination not only on the basis of sex, but also on the basis of gender identity.

In the past, several health insurance plans have categorically excluded health care related to transitioning between genders, often on the grounds that such procedures are often cosmetic, not medically necessary, and elective in nature. Now, such categorical bans will be disallowed, and insurers will have to cover many of the procedures.

HHS says the new rule won’t require insurers to cover all hormone treatments or sex reassignment surgeries, but it will almost certainly require them to cover a large number of them.

First, let’s put in place that the Executive Branch is acting unconstitutionally. Article 1, Section 1 of the US Constitution reads:

All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

How much power for legislation is left for the Executive Branch? How about for the federal courts? Absolutely none. Congress has not passed any legislation that requires paying for mutilation surgeries or hormone treatments for mentally ill people. Therefore, the Executive Branch has no authority to issue such a rule against health insurers. They are usurping it.

Why don’t the insurance companies band together and tell Obama and the feds to stuff it?

Just As We Thought The Gas Tax Increase Isn't For The Roads

You can blame Obamacare and Governor Rick Snyder for our roads not being repaired.
Senator Patrick Colbeck

Governor Snyder stepped into it, as they say, when he pushed through the Medicaid Expansion also known on the radio at the Healthy Michigan Plan.

By offering free medical care to some it is we the taxpayers that have to pay for it.   This is nothing more than distribution of wealth and fits the classic definition of socialism.

To now pay for this medicaid expansion Governor Rick Snyder is pushing for a gas tax increase.  The voters in May of this year shot down a tax increase by an overwhelming margin of 80%.

State Senator Patrick Colbeck, who has a plan to fix our roads without raising our taxes confirmed this today in a facebook post of his:

"Many of you are wondering why it is so difficult to pass legislation that would fix our roads. Simple answer...some people insist upon it being about much more than roads. According to Gongwer News Service (not yet addressed in SE MI papers), one of the sticking points in the most recent negotiations revolved around increasing the Health Insurance Claims Assessment (HICA) tax. "What does HICA have to do with roads" you say? HICA revenue goes to pay the state portion of Medicaid payments. OK...what does Medicaid have to do with roads?

The short answer is that some people in state government are relying upon a tax increase to backfill gaps in Medicaid funding with the same money that the House and Senate plans have already earmarked for roads. This problem becomes exacerbated in 2017 due to the passage of Medicaid Expansion (i.e. Section 2001 of HR 3590 otherwise known as Obamacare). In 2017, the Federal government will no longer provide 100% of the funding for the expanded Medicaid population.

So...if you are wondering why it is so difficult to fix our roads, look no further than Medicaid Expansion. The good news is that I have offered solutions to both Medicaid Expansion and our Roads that protect you from tax increases."

Another Lansing legislator State House Republican Peter Lucido of Shelby Township also has a plan to fix our roads without raising taxes.

Between these two plans we should be able to fix our roads.  As for the Medicaid expansion problem?  That is something Governor Rick Snyder will have to figure out.  That plan was forced upon the people of Michigan after it failed on the first vote.  And now that the people of Michigan are seeing that the Medicaid Expansion is holding up our roads being repaired, I would have to believe it is even less popular than it was two years ago.

$50 Wal-Mart Gift Cards Being Handed Out On TaxPayer Expense To Join Obamacare

Is your state handing out $50 Wal-Mart Gift cards so that people join Obamacare?

"Did you know that the State of Michigan is providing $50 Wal-Mart Gift Cards to our 600,000 Medicaid Expansion
Senator Patrick Colbeck
enrollees as an "incentive" to complete their mandatory "healthcare paperwork"? In other words, we are incentivizing "dependence" upon government...to the tune of $30M taxpayer dollars. This may yield additional insights into why I am such an outspoken opponent to Obamacare and Medicaid Expansion (Section 2001 of Obamacare)."  Michigan State Senator - Patrick Colbeck

In the meantime the State of Michigan Senate passed a resolution calling for a 15 Cent increase per gallon of gas at the pump as we do not have money for our roads.

The Truth On Ted Cruz's Joke On Joe Biden

HOWELL, MI: Last night I attended the 55th annual, Livingston County Republican Party Lincoln Dinner, Ted Cruz was the featured speaker.

Cruz spoke for about 50 minutes and made compelling arguments to the audience as to why he should be the next President of the United States.

He brought up the fact that his critics say he cannot win, yet he stated he has set a record for the most money raised on a campaign opening day of over $1 million.  That was his goal for the first week.    He ended up raising over $4 million that week!   This was the best start to any Presidential campaign in the history of Presidential campaigns. He raised more than what Mitt Romney raised and twice as much as what John McCain raised during the same time. Of the donations that poured in,   Cruz went on to say that 95% of them came from average people that contributed less than $100.    Cruz said this shows his message is strong and that he has support from the grassroots not big corporations.

Cruz did not speak negatively of any Republican Presidential Candidate last night.  One reporter tried to trip him up before his speech by asking him about Jeb Bush.   Cruz called Jeb a fine American and a good man but reverted back to his own positives.

During his speech last night Cruz said that their will be a lot of candidates coming through Michigan and he believed Michigan would be a battle ground state.  He said a lot of them may say they stand for conservative principles and some have.    Cruz suggested to those in the audience to vett those Presidential Candidates that say they stand for Constitutional principles.  Some of the questions he recommend to those in attendance ask included:

Where were they when the national debt was being raised?

Where were they when it was time to defund Obamacare?

Where were they when they said they were against Common Core?

Where were they when ISIS rose up?

Where did they stand when Amnesty was being pushed down our throats?

Where were they for family values?

Cruz was a dynamic down to earth candidate whose speech injected humor and had the audience laughing.

The leftist media though saw how Cruz was captivating the audience last night and how his truths could hurt a candidate more to their liking.  Their hope is if they can not get their faltering Hillary Clinton in as President, they want to make sure that in their worse case scenario  a moderate left leaning Republican is then elected.

So the media looked at his entire speech and they believed they saw one possible weak area to exploit and it was a joke about Joe Biden, whose son Beau died last Saturday.  Like all other presenters such as speakers in the business world or comedians, they have a material that they use that they know engages the audience based on past experience.  So just like those other presenters that use scripted jokes, so did Cruz.

Cruz made a joke about Joe Biden and Joe Biden alone, he never mentioned Beau Biden's name.  He said it doesn't matter if you go to a Republican or Democrat, you just Joe Biden and nothing else and people will laugh.

Cruz was right the audience in attendance were laughing hysterically as shown in the video with the joke below:

However, and I hate to give this guy more attention, Detroit News Reporter Chad Livengood showed his biased colors yesterday and decided to come up with a new narrative for the night

Watching the video above did the laughter seem faint?  As an attendee last night I can assure you the laughter was not faint.

The fact is Joe Biden is not respected by either party.  He is the current sitting Vice President and had mentioned before about aspirations of running for President.  It is rare when a sitting Vice President doesn't run after the current President is termed out.    His party has put their focus on Hillary Clinton over good old Joe.    This was the joke and point Cruz made.

As you saw from the video there was no disrespecting of Beau Biden's son Joe, but the media would like to make you think otherwise.

At the end of the speech, Detroit News Reporter Chad Livingood tried to corner Cruz and asked if that joke appropriate under Joe Biden's current dealings with the death of his son.  Knowing this was a trap set forth with a Reporter with an agenda, he wisely stepped away.  This did not sit well with the Livingood who decided to tweet the experience with video to push through his agenda.

Behind The Scenes, What Is Really Happening With The Oakland County Republican Party

There is a lot of incorrect information being posted on Facebook about the Oakland County Republican Party Executive Committee and how they are pro-asset forfeiture, pro-Obamacare exchange and how they want Democrats to vote in Republican primaries.  Do you know how ridiculous this sounds?

First of all nobody on that committee, that was there last week, is pro-asset forfeiture.  The resolution was voted down because it didn't follow the OCRP By-laws.  I was one of the ones that also voted it down as a proxy.   It wasn't because the resolution was bad it,  it violated the bylaws based on the time submitted.  The original resolution was not submitted in enough time for review by the committee. Resend the resolution now so it can be voted on at the next meeting.  Make sure the resolution is pure as well and doesn't contain pork, like our lawmakers like to throw in.

Many that are on  the board call themselves Constitutional Conservatives and say they are fighting to save our Constitution, but are they really?  How good is your word when speaking in favor of the Constitution when you feel that bylaws should have the rules bent or ignored entirely?  Isn't this what Obama is doing to our Constitution?  Isn't our Constitution a set of bylaws in itself?

All executive board members in attendance were given a timeline of the next meetings and when to submit their resolutions in time to be voted on in the next meeting.   It seems that resolutions have been sent to the OCRP committee past the due date before this meeting.  It makes for good reading. Keep in mind a few may have ulterior motives is trying to push the resolutions through against what the by-laws require.  Two things rule this world, money and power and many will do whatever it takes to achieve this.

Next, most on the committee I would say are against Obamacare and the exchanges. I don't know all the committee members but I do know the leadership.  I served with Theresa Mungioli on the old 9th District Congressional Board.  I can assure you that she is 100% against Obamacare.  I know Pam Williams very well, she too is 100% against Obamacare.  I know Greg Didilian not as well as Pam or Theresa, but as a small business owner, I don't think Obamacare is doing him any favors.

Then we have the fight over open or closed primaries or caucuses.  First of all those that want a closed primary, how do you truly have a closed primary? And with a caucus, let's be honest, those clamoring most for a caucus are those for Rand Paul hoping to shut out the other candidates.  Isn't this what we are accusing the "Establishment" of doing.  Shutting out the other candidates for their chosen "Jeb Bush or other"?   Also buy shutting out other candidates and not letting all Republicans have voice do you think they are even going to bother or donate?  Isn't this why Republican's have been losing in the first place??

One final thing on my rant as well.  We are not going to agree all the time.  I have had disagreements on stances on issues with those in leadership as well, but unless they are blatantly doing wrong for their own self-interest there is no need to attack them personally.  Stick to the issues, attack the issues.  If you do it any other way, it begins to look like you are the ones with the self-interests.

Government Healthcare: Forces Young Woman To Take Chemo Against Her Wishes

The family of a 17-year-old girl with cancer is going to court this week to determine whether or not the teen can be forced to undergo treatment after she refused chemotherapy.

The teen, identified only as Cassandra, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in September, but, with her mother's support, decided she did not want to undergo the prescribed treatment. The Connecticut Department of Children and Families, however, stepped in and ordered her to comply with the doctor's recommendation.

Cassandra's attorney says the state is overstepping its bounds.

"This is not a negligent refusal to provide care; this is a choice," Assistant State Public Defender Joshua Michtom said. "Cassandra and her mother asking that that choice be respected."

Cassandra underwent two rounds of chemotherapy in November and then ran away from home, refusing to continue treatments. She was eventually placed in custody of the state and has been undergoing forced treatment for the past three weeks.

Michael Taylor, the attorney representing Cassandra's mother, says they will argue that the teen be allowed to make treatment decisions for herself based on the "mature minor doctrine," which holds that some children, deemed mature enough, should be allowed to make key life decisions for themselves.

Obamacare architect Ezekiel Emanuel argues we should hope to die at 75

Those on the left continue to think the earth is overpopulated by humans.  Euthanasia  and abortion are two of their key
Dr Ezekiel Emanuel
components on keeping the population down,

Remember when all laughed at Sarah Palin for pointing out that Obamacare would lead to rationing and death panels?

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who was involved in the creation of Obamacare, is suggesting we should die by age 75.

In case you missed it, Dr. Emanuel recently wrote a scary piece for The Atlantic in which he said that he hopes to die by age 75.

Why I Hope to Die at 75
An argument that society and families—and you—will be better off if nature takes its course swiftly and promptly
 Seventy-five.
That’s how long I want to live: 75 years.
This preference drives my daughters crazy. It drives my brothers crazy. My loving friends think I am crazy. They think that I can’t mean what I say; that I haven’t thought clearly about this, because there is so much in the world to see and do. To convince me of my errors, they enumerate the myriad people I know who are over 75 and doing quite well. They are certain that as I get closer to 75, I will push the desired age back to 80, then 85, maybe even 90.
I am sure of my position. Doubtless, death is a loss. It deprives us of experiences and milestones, of time spent with our spouse and children. In short, it deprives us of all the things we value.
But here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but is nonetheless deprived. It robs us of our creativity and ability to contribute to work, society, the world. It transforms how people experience us, relate to us, and, most important, remember us. We are no longer remembered as vibrant and engaged but as feeble, ineffectual, even pathetic.

I wonder if Dr Ezekile Emanuel will do the right thing and kill himself on his 75th Birthday?

EWTN Granted Injunctive Relief in HHS Mandate Case Court of Appeals Acts Following Supreme Court Hobby Lobby Decision

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has granted the EWTN Global Catholic Network an injunction preventing the government from enforcing the HHS
contraceptive services mandate against the Network. The appeals court released its twenty-nine page order just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case. The injunction allows EWTN to continue its court challenge of the mandate without incurring the fines of $35,000 per day that would have begun on July 1.

"This has been a very good day for religious liberty in America," said EWTN Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw. "The Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case was a great affirmation of the constitutional right to freedom of religious expression. While the Hobby Lobby decision did not directly resolve EWTN's case, this afternoon's injunction from the appellate court allows us to press forward without facing the government's crushing fines.

"As we have said repeatedly, contraception, abortion-inducing drugs and voluntary sterilization are not health care and the government should not force EWTN to provide them as part of our employer-sponsored health plan.

"The Hobby Lobby decision recognizes that business owners don't give up their religious freedom when they start a business," continued Warsaw. "The fact that the Supreme Court believes that the government has an obligation to use the least restrictive means of accomplishing its goals is very helpful to the EWTN case. EWTN has raised similar arguments with regard to the government's 'accommodation' scheme for faith-based organizations. We are both relieved and encouraged by the action taken by the courts today and look forward to making our case before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in the coming months."

EWTN Global Catholic Network, in its 33rd year, is available in over 230 million television households in more than 140 countries and territories. With its direct broadcast satellite television and radio services, AM & FM radio networks, worldwide short-wave radio station, Internet website www.ewtn.com, electronic and print news services, and publishing arm, EWTN is the largest religious media network in the world.

The Balanced Budget Amendment Constitutionalizes Obamacare

Peter Konetchy
Today we welcome a guest post from +Peter Konetchy candidate for Congress in Michigan's 4th Congressional District.

Assume you understood that Obamacare had nothing to do with healthcare but with the imposition of absolute control over the people, that it was 100% unconstitutional, and though actively being implemented, was unlawful and could be legally ignored by the people and the states, or could possibly be overturned by a future court.

If you supported this program, what would be a fail safe solution to ensure it could never be eliminated?

Remember Rahm Emanuel’s quote “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Following suit, Washington created a crisis of unsustainable spending which will force our economic collapse unless immediately addressed.

The carefully crafted “solution” is to develop a groundswell of support for a “common-sense” Balanced Budget Amendment forcing Washington to limited spending to what it is able to collect — theoretically averting this government created catastrophe.

What are the actual ramifications of a Balanced Budget Amendment?

Spending will no longer be based on delegated constitutionally authority, but on what government is able to collect through taxation — a very significant difference.  The end result will be that Congress can spend money at its sole discretion to promote any program whatsoever – as long as it doesn’t spend more than it collects.  Think of the incentive to impose the highest tax possible, on every aspect of society, to fund this insatiable lust for power.

Funding of programs which are now unconstitutional, such as Obamacare, will be immediately be re-classified as constitutional — as long as they can be funded without incurring a deficit.  If money is tight Congress can use its discretion to cut critical programs such as defense and immigration — unless additional money can be extorted from the people.

The true solution, which the establishment, media, and talking heads will not address, is to enforce the existing provisions of the Constitution which restrict federal taxation and spending to that directly needed to provide for our defense, maintain our sovereignty, and represent our interests in world affairs.  When adhered to throughout the majority of our history, federal spending averaged just 2-3% of GDP, we had no income tax, no IRS, no debt, and a vibrant economy which elevated our nation to a world class superpower in every regard.

Government despises our Constitution because a free people have no need of federal oversight or control.  Passage of the Balanced Budget Amendment will achieve the long sought after goal of allowing Congress to rule by its discretion, and will irrevocably destroy any concept of a constitutionally limited government of the people.

We must think before we act.

If you think Congress need's more common sense people like Peter Konetchy, please visit his website www.peterkonetchy.com and offer to help by making a donation of any amount, no amount is too small and by sharing his articles.

Parents Of 12-17 Year Old Children In Michigan Just Lost Their Parental Rights To The State

When Christy Duffy took her 17-year-old daughter to her local hospital in Michigan, she was stunned to see a notice posted alerting parents that a nurse will need to “have a short 5 minute private conversation with your child.”

In a fiery blog post published on Monday, Duffy took a bold stand in favor of parental rights. She explains how the situation unfolded:

I was there last week for an appointment for Amy. She hurt her foot, which makes dancing difficult, so we had to get that checked out. Amy is 17; I asked if this policy was in effect and if so, how could I opt out. The receptionist told me it’s a new law and there is no opting out. Working to keep my cool, I said, “I’m sure there is.” She said, “No, there isn’t.” At which point I asked if I needed to leave and go to the urgent care center because I was not submitting my daughter to such a conversation.

That did not go over well

The receptionist closed the window. Almost immediately, the office manager turned the corner and said, “Mrs. Duffy, may I speak with you?”

She said there was a new policy that would allow a child to access his/her medical records online and the child would be allowed to block a parent from viewing the website. The nurse would also inform my children that the doctor’s office is a safe place for them to receive information about STDs, HIV and birth control. That is what the nurse would be chatting about with my children without any pesky parental oversight.

Refusing to back down, Duffy then says she “politely” informed the office manager that no one would be talking to her child privately and asked how she may opt out of the policy before she returned to the hospital for her daughter’s physical the next month.

“Make sure this is crystal clear: what they want to do is talk to your child about sex and drugs (maybe rock and roll – who knows?) without your input,” Duffy writes. “Is it really such a stretch to imagine that a doctor who does not value abstinence before marriage would encourage your daughters – as young as 12! – to receive birth control? Is it really such a stretch to imagine a nurse telling a young boy – because a 12 year old boy is a BOY – that she will give him condoms so he can be ‘safe’?”

Obamacare premiums renewing with double digit premium hikes!

Obamacare premiums in Ohio will rise by 13 percent on
average in 2015, the state’s insurance department announced Thursday.

Overall, that will mean the average health insurance premium will cost $374.42 per month next year, compared to $332.58 each month for coverage in 2014.

Small businesses will be hit with an 11 percent average premium hike, bringing up the average monthly cost to $446.78, up from $401.99 for comparable health policies this year.

“It’s bad news, no doubt, but it’s what we expected and it’s what the research we did in advance predicted would happen,” said Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor in a statement. “Ohio has traditionally had a very competitive insurance market which meant our rates were lower than a lot of other states. That means that Obamacare is hitting us harder and driving our costs us significantly.”

Ohio is one of the first states to release insurance companies’ proposals for 2015 premium rates. Virginia, Washington and Indiana have all announced significant premium hikes for next year.

Virginia, the first to release rates, saw insurers request premium increases ranging from 3.3 percent to 14.7 percent
