I am thankful for all the work Oakland County Judge Warren has done to champion this important cause, and I was proud to partner with him and Senator Kennedy on this resolution.”

Through the advocacy of Judge Warren and his organization, over ten states have officially recognized Patriot Week with official gubernatorial proclamations and legislative resolutions. Peters, is a former Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and he volunteered to serve again after the attacks on September 11th.

Why Is The Republican Party Honoring and Wishing Irrelevant Former Gov Milliken A Happy Birthday?

And,this last election-cycle, Milliken has endorsed Democrat Gary Peters for U.S. Senate and Democrat Mark Totten for Attorney General over Terri Lynn Land and Bill Schuette respectively.

When asked on Fox 2 Detroit's show "Let it Rip" about why Milliken endorsed Gary Peters and Mark Totten , former Michigan Republican Party Chairman said that Milliken was irrelevant.

Epic Fail As Hillary Clinton Comes To Michigan To Campaign For Democrats Mark Schauer And Gary Peters

Possible Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton flew into Michigan today to help fellow democrats, Gubernatorial Candidate Mark Schauer and U.S. Senate Candidate Gary Peters with their races.  

Turn out for her big public event at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan turned out to be an epic fail.  From the photo below you can see there was an extremely low turn out.

According to Oakland University Student, Max Rohtbart, who attended the event, far less than 3,000 maximum the stadium can hold showed up.  .  

DemocRAT Gary Peters Thinks Michigan Voters Are Stupid

Michigan U.S. Senate candidate and current carpet bagging congressman Gary Peters must think we are stupid. It's the only explanation for this ad.

The Democratic Senate Campaign committee is attacking  Republican Senate Candidate Terri  Lynn Land for "connections" to petcoke in Detroit.

But here's the truth: while they are making these attacks, Peters is actually profiting off of petcoke! He owns stock in a company that is one of the largest petcoke producers in the world!

When he was asked about it, he called it "just a little bit of stock."

The sheer hypocrisy of attacking an opposing candidate for allegedly being involved in something that your candidate is ACTUALLY making thousands of dollars off of boggles the mind.

What's even more outrageous is that at the exact same time that Peters is profiting off of petcoke, he is also out there on the stump making self-righteous sermons about the evils of petcoke saying it's terribly, horribly dangerous to Michigan. Meanwhile, he's lining his pocket with money from petcoke.

The Lansing State Journal dismissed Peters’ attacks.

There is no evidence Land had or has anything to do with it. There is also nothing linking her with pollution in Detroit’s 48217 ZIP code.
 Peters’ hands, however, were not nearly as clean, according to the Journal. The oil company he invested in was forced to pay nearly $9 million in fines in 2013 for polluting the environment.
 Peters’ ownership of shares in Total Petrochemicals, the French company’s U.S. subsidiary, is fair game for questions. The company owns a refinery that makes pet coke in Port Arthur, Texas — a city where several articles have been written about the effects of toxins on residents. Total paid an $8.75 million fine last year for earlier violations of pollution limits.
 He still presumably stands to profit from its products, including pet coke, a substance his allies called in a recent ad targeting Land “some of the dirtiest oil waste imaginable.” Considering the emphasis Peters has put on the piles that once abutted the Detroit River, raising questions about his shares of Total S.A. is inbounds.

Ex Michigan Governor Milliken Endorses Governor Snyder and Gary Peters

Earlier this week Republican ex-Gov. William Milliken endorsed the re-election of Rick Snyder for Governor and the Snyder campaign made much pomp and circumstance with this endorsement.

Now Milliken is backing Democrat Gary Peters for U.S. Senate, saying the congressman has been a moderate and an independent voice in the Michigan Legislature and U.S. House.

Milliken issued endorsement statement Friday morning. Peters is running against Republican Terri Lynn Land, a former Michigan secretary of state.

Democratic U.S. Sen Carl Levin is retiring after 36 years.

The 92-year-old Milliken served as governor in 1969-1982. He's endorsed several Democrats over the years, including 2004 presidential candidate John Kerry.

Milliken told The Associated Press in a 2006 interview that the Republican Party had "temporarily left" him by moving too far to the right.

Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Steals Credit For Work Of Republican State Senator

In typical Gary Peter's fashion he portrays himself to be something he is not.  This time he attempts to take credit for work of another elected official.

The Democratic U.S. Senate hopeful is using  the hard work of a State Senator, Phil Pavlov (R) of St. Clair Township.  The story in the Traverse City, Michigan newspaper "The Record" states that five Michigan lawmakers are sponsoring measures designed to pressure Canada not to let a power company bury radioactive waste less than a mile from Lake Huron.

 State Sen. Phil Pavlov, of St. Clair Township, says the package will be introduced Tuesday. It asks U.S. officials to seek intervention from the International Joint Commission, which advises both nations on issues affecting the Great Lakes and other shared waterways.

 He and four other Republicans from districts near Lake Huron also are offering bills to toughen Michigan's prohibition of permanent nuclear waste disposal in the state by including "Class C" waste — the most potent form of low-level radioactive material — in the ban. Low-level waste consists of contaminated clothing, floor sweepings, mops and other items, as opposed to highly radioactive spent fuel rods

 Another measure asks the Great Lakes Commission to get involved. The commission represents the states and Canadian provinces within the Great Lakes watershed.

 Ontario Power Generation wants to store low-level nuclear waste in rock chamber deep underground. The company says it would be safe, but opponents fear radioactivity could eventually reach Lake Huron.

 A Canadian government panel has announced plans for more hearings.

 Way to go Gary! You never cease to amaze on how low you can go!

Is One Man Stopping the Keystone Pipeline? Has This Man Bought Our Politicians?

The American people want Keystone XL pipeline built as shown over and over again by survey after survey.  However Obama has now said the pipeline will not start being built until after the 2014 election , if at all.    

This pipeline would transport 830,000 barrels of crude oil a day from Canada’s oils sands to the refineries in Port Arthur Texas.

In addition, the undertaking would create short-term and long-term middle class jobs for both the Canadian and U.S. economies. Precisely, economic studies have found that the project would create 20,000 manufacturing and construction jobs and an additional 118,000 spin-off jobs.

The Wall Street Journal reported a week ago that Obama and Democrats are feeling pressure from liberal billionaire Tom Steyer who has recently emerged as one of the biggest opponents against Keystone XL. Through his organization, NextGen Climate Action, Steyer has vowed to raise at least $100 million to back vulnerable Democrats in November in an effort to help them keep the Senate as long as they oppose the pipeline.

In recent months, Gary Peters, a candidate to for U.S. Senate in Michigan, has been tied to the billionaire. Back in February, Steyer hosted a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Among the 70 guests in attendance at Steyer’s home that included Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Al Gore, was Peters. The attendees reportedly enjoyed grass-fed beef from Steyer’s ranch in addition to salmon.

Meanwhile, the administration’s latest decision comes after an exhausting five years and two investigations into the pipeline’s potential impact on the environment by the State Department which have concluded that the effects are minimal.

Peters voted against the bipartisan North Route Approval Act, H.R. 3 which passed the House 241-175 last May and would have expedited the process and declared that a presidential permit not be required for approval of the Keystone XL pipeline’s northern route. Meanwhile, Harry Reid, whose Senate Majority PAC has already spent millions backing Peters and others in hopes of maintaining a majority, has refused a vote in the Senate with the intentions of not forcing the hand of those vulnerable Democrats in states where it would be politically unpopular to vote against the pipeline.

One has to ask, whose is Peters representing us or his billionaire buddy Tom Steyer? He claims to be a champion of the middle class yet his actions are more in line with that of a career politician beholden to special interests who do not support what of both Michiganders and the American people want. A poll released recently by Rasmussen revealed that 61 percent of the American people favor building the Keystone pipeline.
